All That Is is Light

This work is an exploration of collective consciousness through familial bonds, suggesting that memory, like mythology, is a living thing passed on to us at birth.

I made the photographs from this series with the help of my family over two years during a period of immense change.

It was during this time that I started making photos on film again as a way to connect back to art as a practice.

While making these photos I began experimenting with process, using double exposure techniques and random chance to see if I could reach further into this idea of a consciousness that connects all things. Once I began to mix landscapes and portraits with these double exposures, a complex narrative emerged. This selection of images from the series is the result.
